High energy is a working collie, german shepherd, spaniel etc breed for working most of the day. An owner would need to work with their dog and train them on a daily basis.

Medium to high is a dog that requires long walks and some mental training/nose work/lots of activities during walks. A dog that needs to do something but who wouldn't go mental if owner is in bed sick 4 days.

Medium is a dog who is happy with long walks in the forest every day but would be satisfied even if owner is not very interested in training their dog in any dog sports/obedience.

Low to medium would probably be an older dog, a dog who is happy with several shorter walks 20-30 minutes.
