From October 1, 2024, it will be illegal to import, breed, sell, or rehome XL Bully-type dogs in Ireland. From February 1, 2025, it will also be illegal to even own an XL Bully without a special permit.
Many loving family dogs will be abandoned in the near future. For those XL Bully-type dogs already waiting for their forever homes, the odds have now significantly worsened. Time is ticking for these dogs, and we need your help to assist them BEFORE the law comes into effect! On October 1, these dogs will be euthanized if they do not find a home or a temporary boarding place.
We are working closely with several rescue centers to help as many as we can.
Send a gift from abroad
Right now, we need funds for boarding kennels for XL Bullies in Sweden. With a spot in a boarding kennel, these dogs can have a safe place to stay while waiting for their forever homes. This will also ease the burden on rescues that work day and night to save and care for abandoned dogs.
A boarding kennel spot costs approximately 300 SEK per day for each dog. Additionally, there will be extra costs for veterinary care, as we often need to check both the breathing and overall health of the bullies.
